During the Mongol-Yuan Period,great importance was attached to the management of salt fields.The reform of field division began during the reign of Chengzong Yuanzhen,and the large salt fields were promoted.The relevant records in"Yuan History:the Chronicles of Hundreds of Officials"and"Yuan Dian Zhang"showed the establishment of salt field officials before and after the field reform,but with inconsistencies.There is almost no records of the official history of field officials.With the discovery and collation of inscription materials in this period,many materials involving the officials of salt fields confirm that the reform of the field officials in the Chengzong period was not achieved overnight.There are also differences between the official setting and the records of the"Yuan History:the Chronicles of Hundreds of Officials".At the same time,the new inscription material also restored the setting and management system of the officials in salt fields.
