The Manifestation,Causes, and Expandable Semantic Functions of Tense Translocation in Uyghur Language
Tense translocation refers to the inconsistency between the grammatical meaning of tense markers and the temporal meaning of real communication. The usage of the past tense marker in a specific context of Uyghur language is derived from the speaker's dislocated choice of time perspective, containing the semantic function of euphemism. The usage of the past tense shifting to non-past tense in special sentence patterns stems from the speaker's psychological perspective of dislocating choice, involving the semantic function of resolution. The use of non-past tense changing to past tense in the story text comes from the author's concern about readers'viewpoint selection, including the semantic function of empathizing with them.
