According to the source of words expressing location in Chinese history,there are four main source models of Chinese locative words,which are the body part model,environmental landmark model,relational part model and dynamic concept model.These four source models are not unique to Chinese,and highly similar examples can be found in many other languages.It can be seen that the source models of Chinese locative words reflect the commonalities of human languages.In addition,from the source model,the evolution path,the degree of grammaticalization,and the degree of typicality,the similarities and differences of Chinese locative words are discussed.
