Correction on the Definitions of Yun Mo(云膜),Yun He(云壑)and Yun Shang(云上)——Six Notes on the Revision of Hanyu Da Cidian(汉语大词典)
Studying Yun Mo(云膜),Yun He(云壑)and Yun Shang(云上)and other entries in Hanyu Da Cidian(汉语大词典),we find that some meanings are not complete,some definitions are not accurate,and even the basic and common meanings are missing.This paper distinguishes the two categories of missing multi-sense items and missing single sense items,analyzes them with examples,and corrects them.Yun Mo(云膜)and Yun He(云壑)belong to the former type,or it lacks the basic meaning,the compound original meaning,or the very important escape meaning,so that it cannot build the meaning system.Yun Shang(云上)and other entries belong to the latter type,the basic meaning and meaning system are basically complete,but the most commonly used extended meaning is missing.
