Subjective Quantity Function of Zhe(着)in Longhui(隆回)Dialect and Its Commonality Reflecting in Lou-shao(娄邵)Xiang(湘)Dialect Region
Zhe(着)in Longhui(隆回)Xiang(湘)Dialect indicates two different kinds of meanings,i.e.Zhe1(着 1)and Zhe2(着 2),which can be explained by the words Dou(都)orDao/Ye(倒/也)in modern Chinese.In spite of their internal diversity,both Zhe1(着 1)and Zhe2(着 2)can be used to emphasize subjective quantity,and the quantity they refer will be influenced by semantic and syntactic features of Zhe(着),pragmatic dependent relationship between Zhe(着)and VP/AP,or affirmation/negation of the whole expression.This kind of phenomenon does not only exist in Longhui(隆回)dialect,but also in other dialect spots of Lou-shao(娄邵)Xiang(湘)dialect region.There exist similar or different subjective quantity functions with Zhe(着)in those dialect spots.In conclusion,it is found that these particular Zhe(着)-type mood elements and their subjective expression share regional common characteristics in Lou-shao(娄邵)Xiang(湘)dialects.
