Ying Shangneng's 148 existing vocal music works comprehensively apply the logical structure layout and musical development thinking of Chinese and Western composition techniques,and follow the intonation characteristics,rhythm and national emotion expression of Mandarin Chinese.Through the integration of Chinese and Western musical languages,the coordination of lyrics and melodies,and the arrangement of piano accompaniment,we can see how the first generation of Chinese new music composers established"New Music."For the purpose or artistic pursuit—"Try your best to study Western music and adopt the advantages of Western music to supplement the shortcomings of Chinese music".We can also gain insight into the value orientation of the first generation of composers to explore and promote the inheritance and development of Chinese national music.
