Ethnomusicology has been paying close attention to music education for a long time.Thus"educational ethnomusicology"has become an emerging area of research.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the social and cultural context of music education from the perspective of culture,using the theory and method of ethnomusicology for reference.Its purpose is to help music educators understand and interpret music education,and to criticize and adjust its theories and methods to ensure that music education adapts to the changes of music's social context,so as to achieve the social goal of music education.This subject involves not only educational ethnomusicology under applied ethnomusicology and educational ethnomusicological significance but also the development trends and possibilities of music education in the context of China.
