Application of Ultrasound-Guided Rotator Cuff Planar Drug Injection Combined with Relaxation by Dry Needling at Myofascial Trigger Points in the Treatment of Rotator Cuff Injury
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of ultrasound-guided rotator cuff planar drug injection combined with relaxation by dry needling at myofascial trigger points in the treatment of rotator cuff injury. Methods A total of 68 patients with rotator cuff injury were assigned into a control group and a treatment group, with 34 patients in each group. The control group was treated with electroacupuncture combined with relaxation by dry needling at myofascial trigger points and the treatment group was treated with ultrasound-guided rotator cuff planar drug injection combined with relaxation by dry nee-dling at myofascial trigger points. The McGill Pain Questionaire(MPQ)score,University of California at Los Angeles(UCLA)shoulder score and total response rate were compared between the two groups after treatment. Results After 2 weeks of treatment, the treatment group had lower MPQ score, higher UCLA shoulder score and higher total response rate than the control group(all P<0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound-guided rotator cuff plane block combined with relaxation by dry needling at myofascial trigger points can relieve the pain, improve shoulder joint motion, and achieve significant bene-fits in the patients with rotator cuff injury.
