High-frequency Ultrasonography Combined with Shear Wave Elastography to Evaluate the Efficacy of Biomimetic Electrical Stimulation at Different Times for Postpartum Diastasis Rectus Abdominis
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of biomimetic electrical stimulation at different times in patients with postpar-tum diastasis rectus abdominis(DRA)using high-frequency ultrasonography combined with shear wave elastography(SWE).Methods DRA patients who visited the People's Hospital Affiliated with Hubei University of Medicine from Octo-ber 2021 to November 2022 were divided into early treatment group, late treatment group, and expectant treatment group(control group)based on different treatment time periods and methods. The differences in inter-rectus distance(IRD),thickness, and average Young's modulus value(Emean)bewteen the three groups before and after treatment were analyzed and compared.Correlation analysis was also performed between IRD and rectus abdominis thickness and Emean,as well as between Emean and abdominal wall muscular function. Results The total effective rates of the early treatment group, late treatment group, and control group were 72.0%(36/50),50.0%(20/40),and 24.0%(12/50),respectively.After treatment, the early treatment group and late treatment group had significant differences in IRD,rectus abdominis thick-ness,and Emean compared with the control group(P<0.05).The difference in Emean was also significant between the ear-ly treatment group and the late treatment group(P<0.05).IRD was moderately negatively correlated with rectus abdominis thickness and Emean, whereas Emean was highly positively correlated with rectus abdominis muscle strength and muscle endurance time. Conclusion High-frequency ultrasonography combined with SWE can comprehensively and effectively e-valuate the therapeutic efficacy of patients with postpartum DRA.Biomimetic electrical stimulation has a remarkable effect on DRA patients, especially at early application.
