Factors Influencing Hyperemesis Gravidarum and Its Impact on Pregnancy Outcome
Objective To explore the risk factors of hyperemesis gravidarum(HG)and analyze its influence on the occur-rence of different pregnancy complications and outcomes. Methods A retrospective study was conducted.A total of 174 pregnant women with HG in Xiangyang No.1 People's Hospital from 2019 to 2022 were selected as the HG group, and 174 pregnant women without early pregnancy reactions such as nausea and vomiting as the HG-free group.Logistic regression was used to analyze the associated risk factors affecting the occurrence of HG,and the pregnancy complications and out-comes between the two groups were compared. Results Occupation(OR=1.979,95%CI:1.225~3.196)and history of bleeding during pregnancy(OR=2.140,95%CI:1.300~3.521)were related factors for the occurrence of HG.There was no difference in the incidence of pregnancy complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Placental thickness in the HG group was lower than that in the HG-free group(P=0.045).The incidence of preterm births in the HG group was higher than that in the HG-free group(P=0.018).Conclusion The occupation of pregnant women and bleeding during pregnancy are closely related to the occurrence of HG.HG has a potential impact on placental thickness and preterm delivery, and thus timely targeted preventive and intervention measures should be given to pregnant women with HG in clinical practice.
