Diagnostic and Prognostic Values of CDKN3 for Lung Adenocarcinoma Patients
Objective To investigate the diagnostic and prognostic roles of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor-3 ( CDKN3) in lung adenocarcinoma. Methods The CDKN3 expression in lung adenocarcinoma was analyzed based on The Cancer Ge-nome Atlas ( TCGA) data.Bioinformatics was used to determine the association between CDKN3 expression and various clinical indexes of lung adenocarcinoma patients. The diagnostic and prognostic values of CDKN3 were evaluated using Cox regression analysis. Results The CDKN3 expression was higher in the tumor tissues of lung adenocarcinoma patients com-pared with that in adjacent peritumoral lung tissues ( P<0.001) .Differentially expressed genes associated with CDKN3 were significantly enriched in cell proliferation pathways. The CDKN3 expression was correlated with immune cell infiltration in lung adenocarcinoma tissues (P<0.05),and tumor grades and tumor stages (P<0.01).Cox regression analysis indicated that CDKN3 was a potential independent risk factor for the overall survival ( OS) and disease-specific survival ( DSS) of lung adenocarcinoma patients (P<0.05).Conclusion CDKN3 is a potential diagnostic and prognostic biomarker and a promising therapeutic target in the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma.
