Association Between Sleep,Diet, and Hyperuricemia in Middle-aged and Elderly Individuals Based on Latent Class Model
Objective To investigate the relationship between sleep, diet and hyperuricemia ( HUA) in the middle-aged and elderly individuals. Methods Latent profile analysis ( LPA) was used to construct sleep and diet patterns. The relation-ship between sleep, diet and HUA was analyzed using unconditional binary logistic regression. Results The sleep pattern of the middle-aged and elderly individuals was categorized into good sleep group, daytime dysfunction group, and sleep disor-der group, while the diet pattern was categorized into conventional diet group,low-quality diet group, and high-meat diet group. The likelihood of developing HUA in the daytime dysfunction group and sleep disorder group was 2.53 times and 1.70 times, respectively, compared with that of the good sleep group. The likelihood of developing HUA in the high-meat diet group was 1.63 times higher than that of the conventional diet group. Conclusion Adjusting dietary structure and im-proving sleep quality of middle-aged and elderly individuals help reduce the prevalence of HUA.
