Construction of Competency Standards for"Double-qualified"Teachers in Vocational Colleges from a Comparative Perspective
The talent cultivation of vocational colleges urgently needs"double-qualified"teachers who cross education and profession.The competency elements of"double-qualified"teachers who have both teaching ability and professional practice ability are inevitably different from ordinary teachers.This article compares and analyzes the qualifications of vocational education teachers in the United Kingdom,the United States,and Germany.Combining with the elements of"double-qualified"teacher positions in vocational colleges in China,it summarizes the common elements of"double-qualified"teacher competence,constructs the framework of"double-qualified"teacher competence from three dimensions:professional competence,educational and teaching competence,and vocational skill competence,and proposes competency standards that are suitable for the characteristics of"double-qualified"teacher positions.This provides objective basis for effectively evaluating the competence of"double-qualified"teachers.
