Research on the Development of Yueyang as the Sub-central City of Hunan Province Connecting Urban Agglomerations in the Middle Reaches of Yangtze River
Yueyang has actively integrated itself into the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,aligned itself with the national key development strategy of the urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,made continuous use of its advantages in connecting the river to the sea,and strived to create a high-quality development and growth pole for Hunan province,constructing a veritable sub-central city of the province.Yueyang has the advantages in location,transportation,industry and green development,but there are problems such as poor industrial structure,slow economic development of industrial parks and low degree of opening up.In the context of multiple policy overlaps,port integration construction,and provincial regional urban competition,Yueyang should closely follow the national policy,rely on the development plan,strengthen the basic industry and the advantageous industry,give full play to regional advantages,stimulate the source of open-up,clarify green bottom line,and build a solid ecological barrier.
