Exploration into the Relationship between Mobile Phone Dependence,Social Anxiety,and Loneliness among College Students
Objective:To understand the current situation of college students'mobile phone dependence and explore its relationship with loneliness and social anxiety.Method:This study conducts a questionnaire survey among 589 college students.Results:65.5%of the college students have mobile phone dependence problems,and the levels of loneliness and social anxiety are relatively high.There is no significant difference in the degree of mobile phone dependence between male and female students.Undergraduates score higher on the total score of mobile phone dependency than junior college students.There is a significant positive correlation between mobile phone dependence and loneliness,social anxiety among college students.Social anxiety and loneliness could positively predict the degree of mobile phone dependence.Conclusion:Social anxiety and loneliness are important factors that affect college students'mobile phone dependence.Helping college students relieve their social anxiety and reduce their loneliness can effectively reduce the degree of mobile phone dependence.
