Countryside-oriented pre-service teachers are a new object of teacher education re-searches in the background of rural revitalization.The researches focus on five domains:training subject,training targets,core competency,training system,and training effect.The existing researches have clarified a series of theoretical issues related to countryside-ori-ented pre-service teachers cultivation:Local normal colleges are the main implementation in-stitutions;the fundamental target is to make willing,persistent and competent rural teach-ers;the core missions include"localized training"and"all-subject coverage".Some improve-ments are required in the relevant researches in terms of the width of the research content and the depth of theoretical exploration.In addition,the methodology should not be limited to theoretical speculation and a multi-disciplinary research paradigm waits to be constructed.The future studies should stress expanding the research content and deepening the research level,strengthen empirical evidence,and advocate diverse research methods,establishing a multi-disciplinary paradigm to encourage multi-disciplinary and multi-perspective researches.
