The academic learning drive directly boosts the learning performance of college students,and also affects the quality of university talent cultivation.The inadequacy of aca-demic learning drive among some college students is mainly represented as their structural absence of the sense of significance in academic learning in their value system and as their de-viated learning habits in their behavioral tendency system.Internal variables such as unclear learning goals and external variables such as utilitarian trends jointly restrain the driving forces from being generated among college students.Four strategies can be taken to motivate their academic learning:guidance of lofty ideals and beliefs,scientific assessment,innovative instruction,and favorable campus culture.
