The missions of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the construction of a global community with a shared future call for China's higher education cultivating num-bers of high-quality talents of global competence.And this requirement is well responded to by the proposal and promotion of the new liberal arts construction.First and foremost,we must adhere to the educational principles of cultivating talents with moral virtues through our excellent culture and to the development concept of constructing a global community with a shared future.Besides,we must innovate our curriculum by increasing the international-ized courses,improving the courses of general literacy,and integrating foreign language abil-ity with the international and regional knowledge.Third,a better platform should be set up for international communication to encourage more teachers and students to get involved and to recruit more international teachers.Fourth,the support and evaluation systems should be improved through policy making,talent-cultivating programs,fair,scientific and workable evaluation criteria.
