Targeted thinking,proposed by Xi Jinping,can be taken as an analytical frame-work for reflecting upon the problems in ideological and political education permeated with technical rationality and reliance on data.The ideological and political education is trapped in data,which leads to its loss of educational objects,the deviation of educational content and the inadequate educational results.Under the theoretical guidance of Xi Jinping's targeted thinking,we can fulfill the development of ideological and political education in the big-data era in the aspects of educational concept,methodology and validity.We must have a compre-hensive understanding of the features of educational subjects,target at the educational ob-ject,analyze scientifically the educational problems,offer a systematic set of educational content,comprehensively optimize the educational process,and make multi-dimensional as-sessment on the educational effect.
