Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,China has promoted the reform of postgraduate education for professional degrees in an orderly manner in the transformation of economic society and knowledge production mode.The new round of reform has gone through three stages,namely,the knowledge orientation of going out of the ivory tower on a large scale,the practical knowledge orientation of connotation development,and the collaborated knowledge innovation orientation of high-quality development.The re-form focuses on optimizing the structure of talent cultivation,clarifying the positioning of talent cultivation for professional degrees,strengthening practice in the postgraduate educa-tion for professional degrees,and building up a collaborative quality guarantee system.In the future,we should further optimize the scale and structure of the talents of professional degrees,improve the talent cultivation mode with distinctive features of industry-teaching in-tegration and interdisciplinary characteristics,and improve the multiple spiral high-quality guarantee mechanism,so as to accelerate the high-quality development of postgraduate edu-cation for professional degrees in the new era,and to provide high-level innovative,applica-tion-oriented and strategic talents for the construction of Chinese path to modernization.
