Faced with the increasingly complex domestic and international situation,the con-struction of student Party organizations in universities has become increasingly important.College counselors are grassroots backbone forces in carrying out student Party and Youth League construction and ideological and political education.They fully exert their political guidance and play an important role in implementing the fundamental task of moral education and improving the career development ability of counselors.Some problems are present in college student Party and Youth League construction such as the mode of activity organiza-tion,collaboration between Party and Youth League construction and external environment.Besides,imbalance and insufficiency can be found in the exertion of the role of counselors in political guidance.Therefore,more training and practice are necessary for counselors to im-plement their political guidance more effectively.Counselors should be aware of the range of their duty and offer targeted guidance at the front of Party and Youth League construction.More stress should be laid on the political guidance of counselors in Party and Youth League construction.
