从唐代的《隋书·经籍志》到明代《国史·经籍志》,《穆天子传》长期被归入史部的起居注类,清代四库馆臣上承《汉志》的小说文体概念,将该书划入子部"小说家",实现了"去史入子"的归类变革.该书成书年代与文本性质之争是著录变化的内因,而从外部看,汉代至晚清小说文类观也在不断变化,我们亦能从《穆天子传》的"去史入子"一窥古代小说文体概念的流变.
Abstract
From Sui Shu Jing Ji Zhi in the Tang dynasty to Guo Shi Jing Ji Zhi in the Ming dynasty,The Biography of Mu Tianzi has long been classified as daily notes of the History Section.The secretaries of the Siku Institute of the Qing dynasty excluded the book from the History Section and reclassified it into the"Xiaoshuojia"(meaning"no-vel")under the Zi Section,following the concept of novel from The Book of Han.Debate on the completion time and the text nature of the book was the intrinsic reason for this change in cataloging while the external cause was the ever-changing perception of the genre of novel from the Han dynasty to the late Qing dynasty.The cataloging change of The Biography of Mu Tianzi from the History Section to the Zi Section enables us to glimpse the evolution of the concept of ancient novel genre.
