迪克·赫伯迪格的后现代主义文化理论探索是一场从亚文化、流行文化穿越到后现代主义并走向它的"另一面"的旅行.赫伯迪格整体采用了符号学路径对亚文化和流行文化现象进行分析,将亚文化与流行文化看作拼贴的、风格化的符号,并格外关注符号消费行为展示的品味区隔成为不同意识对抗协商场所的可能性,从而挖掘出文化符号的情感性和政治潜能.在后现代社会中的消费快感和流散性经验之上,赫伯迪格提出了以"情感联盟"为核心的身份政治策略.这一策略批判了后现代主义的否定性特质,并尝试超越这种否定性,通向更具有可能性和正向意义的"另一面".通过身份政治的构想,赫伯迪格试图探索后现代和文化研究的未来发展之路.
Abstract
Dick Hebdige's critical theory of postmodern culture is a journey from subculture and popular culture to postmodernism and to its"other side".Hebdige generally adopted a semiotic approach to analyze subculture and popular culture phenomena.He regarded subculture and popular culture as collaged and stylized symbols,and payed special attention to the possibility that the taste divisions of symbol consumption behavior become places for confron-tation and negotiation of different consciousness,exploring the affective nature and political potential of cultural sym-bols.On the basis of the pleasure and propagating experience of postmodern consumption,Hebdige proposed strategy including the core"affective alliance"identity politics,which not only criticizes the negative characteristics of post-modernism,and tries to transcend negativity to the"other side"with more possibility and positivity.By proposing the identity politics,Hebdige attempted to explore the future development of postmodern and cultural studies.
