The significance of the application of digital twin technology in automotive research and development was discussed,the specific process of virtual prototype vehicle assembly in automotive research and development based on digital twin was introduced,and the typical problems existing in virtual prototype vehicle assembly were analyzed,including design problem,loading table problem,and data defect.
