Research Advances on Seed Dormancy and Germination of Buffalobur (Solanum rostratum)
Buffalobur (Solanum rostratum Dunal) was a vicious foreign invading weed specie, spreading poses a serious threat to the native existing ecosystems in China. Buffalobur increased its competitive advantage by wide adaptation to the environment, and developed itself into a highly dangerous invasive weed. It had been increasingly important to control the infestation and spreading. Seed morphologic character, seed dormant mechanism, methods for seed germination and dormancy -breaking were introduced in this paper, which would provide scientific guidelines to integrated strategies for protecting and controlling of this specie.
