Weed Species and Crop Damage in Chinese Chive Fields in Beijing
The impact of weeds is one of the main reasons restricting the development of Chinese chives in Beijing. A sys-tematic survey on weed species was conducted for the first time between 2013 and 2014 in the main producing areas in Beijing. There were 93 weed species in Chinese chive fields in Beijing belonging to 27 families. Among them,58 species accounting for 62. 4% caused damage above grade 2 (mild),22 species (23. 6%) caused damage above grade 3 (mod-erate),and 15 species (16%) widely distributed in the whole city caused severe damage.
