Application and significance of CK-pan,CK5/6 and p63 in rapid intraoperative diagnosis
Objective To investigate the role of rapid immunohistochemical staining in the pathological diagnosis of rapid freezing. Methods Twelve cases with difficulty in rapid diagnosis were selected from Department of Pathology, the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. The frozen sections were stained with direct immunohistochemical antibodies CK-pan,p63,CK5/6,and the interpretation results were compared with those of conventional paraffin wax immunohistochemical staining. Results The results of rapid immunohistochemical staining during operation were consistent with those under HE microscope, and with those of conventional immunohistochemical staining. Conclusion Intraoperative rapid immunohistochemical staining can provide a good guide for pathologists to accurately diagnose the cases in which it is difficult to distinguish benign and malignant tumors, lymph node metastasis, and suspected metastasis in vivo during intraoperative biopsy under frozen rapid microscopy.
