Expression of AKT2 in prostate adenocarcinoma and its relationship with clinicopathological factors
Objective To explore the significance of AKT2 expression in prostate adenocarcinoma and its correlation with clinical pathological factors. Methods The clinical and pathological data and tissue wax blocks were collected from 76 prostate adenocarcinomas and 20 prostate hyperplasias.Using one-step immunohistochemistry EnVision method,AKT2 expression of prostate adenocarcinomas was detected and its relation with the clinical pathological factors was analyzed. Results The expression level of AKT2 in prostate adenocarcinomas was significantly higher than that in benign prostatic hyperplasia tissue(61.8%vs.20.0%,P=0.001).The expression of AKT2 increased with the increase of cell mitosis and was significantly related to the eosinophilic degeneration of the cytoplasm in prostate adenocarcinomas(P<0.05).Conclusion AKT2 may be related to the occurrence and growth of prostate adenocarcinoma, and has certain pathological diagnostic value.
