Correlation between c-MET in lung adenocarcinoma tissue and its tumor staging, pathological grading, lymph node metastasis, and postoperative recurrence
Objective To investigate the correlation between c-MET level in lung adenocarcinoma tissue and its tumor stage, pathological grade, lymph node metastasis and postoperative recurrence. Methods From January 2020 to January 2022,a total of 496 cases of lung cancer resection were performed in the thoracic and cardiac surgery department of our hospital, and wax blocks of lung adenocarcinoma tissues and paracancer tissues were collected from 100 patients who underwent radical resection for lung cancer. The expression of c-MET protein was detected by immunohistochemical experiments, and the gender, age,TNM stage, smoking history and IASLC classification were recorded, with follow-up.Results The difference was statistically significant in the expression of c-MET protein in lung adenocarcinoma tissues and paracancerous tissues(Uc=5.801,P=0.001);There was no statistically significant difference in the positive expression of c-MET and different age, gender, smoking history,N stage,M staging(χ2 age=3.021,P=0.0821;χ2gender=0.601,P=0.438;χ2 smoking=1.382,P=0.241;χ2 N stage=0.683,P=0.408;χ2 M staging=1.032,P=0.311).The difference was statistically significant in the positive expression of c-MET and TNM staging,T staging, and IASLC classification(χ2 TNMstaging=8.651,P=0.003;χ2 Tstaging=5.210,P=0.022;χ2 IASLC classification=9.031,P=0.011);The median disease-free survival period of the c-MET positive expression group was 14 months, and the negative expression group was 31 months(χ2=9.271,P=0.009).The 2-year recurrence rate of the c-MET positive expression group was 75.13%,higher than that of c-MET Met negative expression group(χ2=8.091,P=0.013).Conclusion c-MET is highly expressed in lung adenocarcinoma tissue, which is closely related to TNM stage,T stage, and IASLC classification, and its expression level is correlated with patient prognosis.
