Automatic Monitoring System for Substation Switchgear Faults Based on Wire-less Sensing Technology
To reliably grasp the operation status of the substation switchgear and ensure the stable operation of the substation,a substation switchgear fault automation monitoring system based on wire less sensing technology is de-signed.Sensor nodes collect operating data of switchgear, construct a layered and clustered wireless sensor network, and combine the energy cycle update mechanism to transmit the collected operating data of switchgear using a dual cluster head transmission method.Probabilistic neural networks are used to achieve automatic diagnosis of switchgear faults and output fault category results. The test results show that the node coverage and network area connectivity in the wireless sensor network are both above 93.34%.The thermal distribution of power received by each node is uni-form,which can achieve fault category classification and frequency visualization of switchgear faults.
