With the rapid development of digital technology,artificial intelligence(AI)has gradually become a signifi-cant force driving modern societal progress.Particularly in the construction of smart cities,the application scope of AI continues to expand,progressively becoming a key factor in achieving urban sustainable development and enhanc-ing residents'quality of life.Therefore,based on the application of artificial intelligence in smart cities,this paper explores the process of AI application in smart cities,and discusses the drawbacks of AI application in smart cities,aiming to provide beneficial references for academic research and practical operations in related fields.
