A Non-contact Liquid Level Detection Method for Rain Gauges
The rain gauge is a simple and effective device used to measure precipitation. It is usually cylindrical in shape, used to collect and record precipitation. This paper proposes a non-contact liquid level detection method focus-ing on the rain gauge.Based on a bidirectional bridge circuit structure, the emitted radio frequency signal is convert-ed into electrical signals for analysis. The signal is collected through a high-speed ADC,and the acquired differential voltage values are further mathematically transformed within the FPGA to obtain return loss values for data fitting in subsequent measurements. After testing,it was verified that using radio frequency signals for non-contact liquid level detection is feasible and effective. This method enhances the safety, efficiency, and accuracy of liquid level detection, with an error rate less than 0.5 mm,demonstrating good engineering application value.
