On Public Security Mediation Based on Field Theory
Security mediation is an important way to resolve civil disputes and maintain social stability.Using Bourdieu's field theory as an analytical tool, this paper analyzes its coupling with China's security mediation work and theoretically deconstructs security mediation from three dimensions:field, capital, and habitus. The study found that there are a series of practical problems in the current practice of security mediation by public security organs, including field imbalance restricting the effectiveness of security mediation, limited capital hindering the efficiency of security mediation, and lagging habits obstructing the productivity of security mediation.Based on this, the existing mechanism can be optimized and improved by reconstructing the situational field of security mediation, strengthening the accumulation of security mediation capital, and focusing on updating the habits of security mediation,in order to enhance the quality and efficiency of China's security mediation work.
