Research advances in ultrasound imaging of the V1 segment of the vertebral artery
As part of ultrasound examination of the carotid, the V1 segment of the vertebral artery has not received sufficient attention regarding its characteristics and lesions, making it necessary to attach more importance to it.Ultrasound can provide an objective assessment of the anatomy and variations of the V1 segment of the vertebral artery,as well as a dynamic analysis of hemodynamic changes. These features make it the preferred screening method for lesions in the V1 segment of the vertebral artery.Meanwhile,it can also be used to assess the progression of stenosis and follow up patients after revascularization treatment. This article summarizes the research and application of ultrasound in examining the V1 segment of the vertebral artery. The aim is to deepen our understanding of the anatomical characteristics and associated diseases,as well as to improve diagnostic precision.
