Study on Basic Characteristics and Occurrence Regularity of Major Gas Explosion Accidents in Chinese Coal Mines during 2001-2012
For studying the general rule of China's coalmine gas explosion accidents. The larger and major gas explosion accidents in Chinese coal mines from the year 2001 to 2012 were analyzed and their basic characteristics were got. Then statistical analysis method was used to discuss all of the 194 cases of major accidents. They were analyzed comprehensively according to dimensions of time, region, and ownership. The results show that the major accidents often occurred in the five calendar these months: March, April, May, October and November, that the hand-over time and carry on each shift after 3-4 hours are more likely to make the accidents happen, that Shanxi, Guizhou, Heilongjiang, Henan, Shanxi and Liaon-ing are the key provinces to be managed, because the major gas explosion accidents in these six provinces account for 63. 92% of the whole cases and 72. 12% of the whole deaths respectively, that state-owned key coals are still the prevention emphases for the average of 51. 68 people died in each accident, and that although the numbers of accidents and deaths in township coal mines decreased quickly year by year, the mines are still the national key management object since the numbers are still large.
