Study of the CPC's Borderland Governance Thoughts during the New Democratic Revolution
During the period of the New Democratic Revolution, the Communist Party of China included the borderland areas and the borderland peoples in the scope of the revolution and in its vision of nation-building,while solving the national question in the context of the proletarian revolution and properly handling the borderland question in the context of the national question. The CPC's thoughts of nation-building and borderland governance was a process of continuous clarification, and after going through the exploratory process of the transformation of the geographical borderland discourse, the transmutation of the concept of borderland ethnicity and the adjustment of the form of state structure,it gradually formed a borderland governance pattern premised on wholeness, borderland ethnic relations centered on equality and unity, and a political position on borderland governance centered on people's sovereignty, and established a new type of the Borderland Governance Pattern with people of all ethnic groups in the master position. The CPC's political ideas and borderland concepts are deeply influenced by China's traditional political culture and real-life political situations.A unified and continuous"grand unification"territory concept and the spirit of communism that restructured China shaped the CPC's ideas on borderland governance in this period from both internal and external perspectives.
