Study of the Stations of Northwest Zhaotao Si(招讨司)in the Jin Dynasty
As an important military and political management organization in the northern frontier,the Northwest Zhaotao Si was officially established in the third year of Emperor Taizong Tianhui period(1125)of the Jin Dynasty.At the beginning of its establishment,it was placed in Yanzi city(now the old city of Zhangbei County,Hebei Province)of Liao Dynasty.In the eighth year of Emperor Shizong Dading period(1168),it was moved to Xinhuanzhou City(now the old city of Silang City,Shangdu Town,Zhenglan Banner,Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region).In the seventh year of Emperor Zhangzong Mingchang period(1196),the military and political pattern of the area changed suddenly due to the huge impact of the war of the Uluriza River to the army of the Northwest Zhaotao Si,and the station was moved to Fuzhou City(Yanzi City in the early Jin Dynasty)from the Xinhuanzhou City again.Till the first year of Chongqing of King Weishao(1212),the whole region of the Northwest Zhaotao Si was occupied by the Mongolian army,so its organizational system no longer existed.
