Progressin roles of cyclophilin A in Pulmonary infectious diseases
Cyclophilin A(CyPA)is an immunophilin with peptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerase(PPIase)activi-ty,widely expressed in various cells and tissues, including lung tissue.Extracellularly,CyPA binds to CD147 and other receptors, activates kinase(ERK)phosphorylation/nuclear factor(NF)-κB and other pathways, promotes the chemo-taxis of inflammatory cells and the release of inflammatory factors, and participates in the pathophysiological processes of various inflammatory diseases.A large number of studies have shown that the expression level of CyPA is positively corre-lated with the inflammation level of lung diseases, such as chronic airway inflammation, acute respiratory distress syn-drome,and Coronavirus disease 2019,andtargeted CyPAtherapycan reduce the level of inflammation and improve the prog-nosis.This article reviews the progress of the study of CyPA in common pulmonary infectious diseases expectedto provide a reference for the mechanism of its role in infectious diseases.
