The Categorization and Practice of Textile Objects in Museum Collection with Digital Technology
With the development of archaeology,technology centered on 3D digital information collection has taken the lead in the development and maturity of hard material cultural objects restoration.The National Museum of China has for the first time applied this digital technology to the restoration and conservation of textile objects in its collection.The museum explores to collect and organize data of a certain category of its textile collections.It realized the transformation of objects into data storage,the recording and generation of collections digital models in textform.Such practice has shaped the overall digital research perspective and new ideas of categorizing different types of museum collections,providing theoretical and practical support for conservation,research,exhibition,and revitalization of the cultural objects.
