Exploration and Analysis of the Copyright Issues of Cultural Objects Digital Resources in Dunhuang Academy
The digital resources of cultural objects are important for promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional Chinese culture.However problems such as unclear property rights or ownership,and inadequate protection mechanisms constrain the open utilization of the resources.According to the Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China,the rich digital resources of cultural objects in Dunhuang Academy can be divided into 9 categories,all of which are protected by the Law under the premise of originality.At present,the Academy has endeavored in identifying and protecting the copyright of the resources,and has formed an effective mechanism.It has also realized that relevant laws,regulations,and administrative measures need to be introduced,meanwhile the cultural heritage institutions should strengthen their own management of the objects digital resources,in order to promote the construction of an effective management and utilization system for the resources,and contribute research efforts to the national cultural digitization strategy.
