Assessment Research of Economic Contribution of Museums:A Case Study of Hunan Museum
Museums are not only solid guardians of human culture,but also important promoters of social and economic development.Nowadays,the assessment of the economic contribution of museums is an academic topic worthy of in-depth discussion,and of practical significance.At present,the relevant research and assessment in this area are mostly incomplete or insufficient.Hunan Museum,adopting the theory of economic impact analysis,has built an input-output model,in order to comprehensively estimate Hunan Museum's direct and indirect contributions to the economic development of Hunan Province,in terms of output,employment,and tax revenue.Furthermore,it proposed strategies and paths for the museum as well as policy-makers to enhance the museum's economic contribution.
