Estimation of Vegetation Productivity in Xilingol Steppe and Analysis of the Influencing Factors——A Case Study in Balager River Basin
The vegetation productivity in Balager river basin in Xilingol steppe in 2012 was estimated by CASA model. The measured biomass data in July,2012 were used to calibrate the model. Then the spatial distribution of the vegetation productivity in the study area and the relationship between vegetation productivity and air temperature and precipitation were discussed. The results indicated that the coefficient of determination R2 and the average absolute relative error of estimated values and observed value were 0.75 and 4.13%,respectively.The spatial distribution of vegetation productivity in the study area was in downward trend among the river from the southeast to northwest. The vegetation productivity was closely related to precipitation and monthly average air temperature in 0.01 significant levels.Analysis of lagged effect indicated that vegetation productivity was mainly affected by precipitation. The two-factor synergy analysis indicated that the air temperature and precipitation had positive effect on vegetation productivity, however the effect of temperature was weaker than precipitation.
