Effects of Endogenous Hormones on Pod Cracking of Medicago ruthenica
Plant endogenous hormones are involved in the maturation and senescence of pods.In order to explore the effect of hormones on pod cracking of Medicago ruthenica, this experiment used two kinds of pod cracking characteristics of Medicago ruthenica Trautv cv.Keerqinshadi(anti cracking and easy crack-ing)as materials to compare the difference of hormones at the ventral suture of the two pods with different pod cracking characteristics at different stages. The results showed that seven major types of phytohor-mones,including auxin, ethylene precursor(1-aminocyclopropane carboxylic),gibberellin, abscisic acid, cytokinin, salicylic acid and jasmonic acid were detected at the ventral suture of M.ruthenica pods;During the whole pod development period, the total content of auxin, the content of ethylene precursor 1-aminocy-clopropanecarboxylic acid, and the content of gibberellin at ventral suture of anti cracking pod were higher than those in easy cracking pod materials. The content of abscisic acid on the 20th day showed a phenom-enon where the anti cracking pod material was higher than the easy cracking pod material, while the changes in the content of cytokinin, salicylic acid and jasmonic acid were opposite.Principal component analysis showed that the cumulative contribution rate of the first three principal components was 78.15%,with a total eigenvalue of 5.471,which basically summarized the main information of the seven hormones measured.
