Participation of clinical pharmacists in the formulation of medication scheme for Listeria bloodstream infection complicated with meningitis:a case report
Objective To provide a reference in developing anti-infection regimens for patients with severe Listeria infection clinically.Methods After consulting relevant data,the clinical pharmacist assisted the clinician in developing anti-infection regimen based on the patient's general information,and the characteristics of disease,bacteria,and relevant drugs,and monitored the curative effect and adverse reactions as well.Results The anti-infection regimen was effective,without obvious adverse reaction.Conclusion The Listeria bloodstream infection complicated with meningitis is characterized by high risk of death and long course of anti-infection treatment.The clinical pharmacists with professional skills may play an active and important role for ensuring the effectiveness and safety of medications as participants in the formulation of individualized regimens.
