Curative effect of Xuebijing Injection combined with meropenem on patients with severe pneumonia and its influence on inflammatory factors
Objective To investigate the curative effect of Xuebijing Injection combined with meropenem in the treatment of severe pneumonia and the effect on inflammatory factors.Methods Sixty patients with severe pneumonia diagnosed and treated from March 2020 to May 2023 were selected and divided into two groups by random number table method.The control group(30 cases)was treated with meropenem,the observation group(30 cases)was treated with Xuebijing Injection combined with meropenem.The treatment effect,inflammation level[serum C-reactive protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT)level],blood gas index[partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2),partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),blood oxygen saturation(SpO2)]and symptom resolution time were compared between the two groups.Results The effective rate of the observation group was 90.00%(27/30)higher than that of the control group 66.67%(20/30),a statistically significant difference was observed(P＜0.05);Following treatment,the levels of inflammatory factors CRP、PCT in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05);Following treatment,compared with the control group,the blood gas index PaO2 and SpO2 levels in the observation group were higher,and PaCO2 was lower,with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05);Following treatment,the absence time of lung rales,fever reduction time,invasive mechanical ventilation/non-invasive mechanical ventilation use time and ICU stay time in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion In patients with severe pneumonia,the treatment of Xuebijing Injection combined with meropenem can effectively reduce the level of inflammation in the body,improve the blood gas index,promote the recovery of lung function,accelerate the offline of patients,shorten the length of stay in ICU,and have a good clinical effect.
