Clinical efficacy of olopatadine combined with praprofen eye drops in the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis and its influence on tear film stability
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of olopatadine combined with prauprofen eye drops in the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis and its effect on tear film stability. Methods 60 patients with allergic conjunctivitis diagnosed and treated in outpatient department from July 2022 to February 2023 were selected.Sixty patients were divided into the experimental group(30 cases)and the matched group(30 cases)using a random number table method. The matched group was treated with olopatadine eye drops, and the experimental group was treated with praprofen eye drops on the basis of the matched group.Compare the clinical efficacy, tear film stability[Tear film rupture time(BUT)and corneal fluorescence staining test(CFS)score],and improvement of clinical symptoms between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group(28 cases/30 cases,93.33%)was higher than that in the matched group(24 cases/30 cases,80.00%)(P<0.05).After treatment, the two groups showed an increase in BUT and a decrease in CFS scores compared to before treatment. The BUT of the experimental group was higher than that of the matched group, and the CFS score was lower than that of the matched group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of photophobia, tearing, eye itching, and foreign body sensation in both groups decreased compared to before treatment, and the experimental group was lower than the matched group(P<0.05).Conclusion In patients with allergic conjunctivitis, the application of olopatadine combined with prauprofen eye drops is beneficial to maintain the stability of their tear film, improve the patients'eye symptoms, and improve the clinical efficacy after treatment.
