Curative Effect observation of modified Shengxian Decoction combined with external diaphragm pacing for treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with type Ⅱ respiratory failure
Objective To explore the clinical effect of modified Shengxian Decoction combined with external diaphragm pacer(EDP)in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)with type Ⅱ respiratory failure.Methods From January 2022 to May 2023,64 patients with COPD complicated with type Ⅱ respiratory failure were divided into observation group(n = 32)and control group(n = 32)by random number table method.Both groups were treated with conventional western medicine,and the observation group was treated with modified Shengxian Decoction combined with EDP.After 5 days of treatment,the right diaphragmatic excursion and diaphragm thickening fraction,blood gas analysis and inflammatory indexes were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the right diaphragm index and oxygenation index of the two groups increased,and those indexes in the observation group were higher than the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide and inflammatory indexes of the two groups decreased,and those indexes in the observation group were lower than the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion On the basis of conventional treatment,the combination of modified Shengxian Decoction and EDP can effectively improve the diaphragmatic function,oxygenation index and inflammatory index of COPD patients with type Ⅱ respiratory failure,promote the discharge of carbon dioxide and alleviate the condition.
