Pharmaceutical analysis of a case of allergy caused by azithromycin anti infection treatment
Objective To observe the rash of a child with mycoplasma pneumonia who was injected with azithromycin powder injection and ambroxol injection twice and can provide a reference for the rational and safe use of azithromycin in clinical practice. Methods The medical records of a child with mycoplasma pneumonia infection were analyzed. On the first day of admission, when the injection of azithromycin powder injection was nearly completed, the child was found to have scattered wheals on the medial skin of his left upper arm and was immediately stopped. On the third day of admission, the child had mouth and lip edema after about 10 minutes of ambroxol injection, and scattered wheals on the left lower limb. The child had allergic reactions twice, and there were few reports of allergic reactions caused by azithromycin powder injection and ambroxol injection. The relationship between the occurrence of allergic reactions in the child and the infusion of drugs was studied. Results It was found that there was a certain causal relationship between the azithromycin powder injection and the anaphylaxis of the two times before and after the injection. Conclusion When azithromycin has allergic reactions, even if the infusion is stopped, secondary allergic reactions may occur. Therefore, when azithromycin infusion has allergic reactions,long-term observation and continuous symptomatic treatment are required.
