Comparative analysis of the curative effect of colonic polyp treated by endoscopic mucosal resection and cold snare polypectomy
Objective To explore the efficacy of endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR)and cold snare polypectomy(CSP)in the treatment of colon polyps. Methods From January 2020 to December 2022,120 patients with colon polyps in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University were selected as the study objects and divided into two groups according to the treatment methods. Both groups received conventional treatment, the control group(60 cases)was treated with EMR,the observation group(60 cases)was treated with CSP,and the therapeutic effect, surgical indexes and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of the observation group was 95.00%(57/60)higher than that of the control group 80.00%(48/60),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The time of polypectomy in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications was lower in both groups, with no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion Both mucosal resection and cold snare polypectomy are effective in the treatment of colon polyps, with fewer postoperative complications, and are safe and effective. The operation time of cold snare polypectomy has certain advantages.
