Optimization of preparation technology and study of pharmacodynamics on Pingcuo Dripping Pills by Box-Behnken response surface methodology
Objective Based on the traditional Chinese medicine prescription of Pingcuo Powder,Pingcuo Drop Pills were developed,and the effects of Pingcuo Powder and Pingcuo Drop Pills on acne were compared and studied.Methods Using comprehensive scores as evaluation indicators,selecting drug to matrix mass ratio,liquid temperature,and condensation temperature as evaluation factors,the Box-Behnken response surface method was used to optimize the preparation process of Pingcuo Dripping Pills;To investigate the effects of Pingcuo Powder and Pingcuo Dropping Pills on hormone levels,sebaceous gland spot tissue in mice,anti-inflammatory effect on ear swelling,and inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus and Propionibacterium acnes.Results The optimal preparation process for dripping pills has a material liquid ratio of 5∶1,a liquid temperature of 80℃,and a condensation temperature of 0℃;The T value,E2 value,T/E2 value,mouse ear swelling degree,and antibacterial effect of the Pingcuo Dropping Pill group were not significantly different from the positive drug group(P>0.05),and were superior to the Pingcuo Powder group.Conclusion The Pingcuo Dropping Pill group has a significant therapeutic effect on acne,which is superior to the Pingcuo Powder group.It can effectively regulate hormone levels in mice,reduce ear swelling in mice,and inhibit acne pathogenic bacteria.
